
Sous chef position requiring strategic leadership and culinary expertise

This is a senior leadership role in a dynamic hotel kitchen environment.
As an experienced and visionary Executive Chef, you will play a pivotal part in driving culinary excellence and guest satisfaction through exceptional cuisine and kitchen management.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop and implement menu strategies, seasonal specials, and recipe innovation
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff; train and motivate your team to deliver high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards; ensure a clean and organized workspace
- Oversee stock management, inventory control, ordering, and cost-effectiveness measures; liaise with suppliers as needed
- Assume full ownership of kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence
- Uphold rigorous food safety and HACCP compliance
Contribute to administrative tasks such as scheduling, rota planning, and performance evaluations. Drive creativity and innovation in specials and offer support across all kitchen disciplines.
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or high-end restaurant setting
- Culinary qualification (e.g., Culinary Arts degree, FETAC certificate) is highly desirable
- Accredited food hygiene certification (Level 1 & 2 or equivalent HACCP training)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage pressure during busy service periods. Understanding of stock control, cost efficiencies, and supplier negotiations. Knowledge of a broad range of cooking techniques and current culinary trends.
