Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Empathetic Support Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support services to individuals with diverse needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to build strong relationships with our service users, fostering a sense of trust, respect, and understanding. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that promote dignity, autonomy, and inclusion.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Authorization to work in Ireland
  • CORU registration or in process of registration
  • Minimum Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care
  • Fluent English
  • At least one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services
  • Ability to follow, evaluate, and contribute to the development of plans and methods to meet ongoing needs
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Share Point, One Drive, and Teams
  • Fully licensed driver and availability of own car
