Senior Psychologist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide high-quality psychological services to adults with intellectual disabilities in North Kildare and West Dublin.

Psiychologists work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver person-centered, compassionate care that meets the unique needs of our service-users, their families, and frontline staff.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for providing psychological interventions, including assessments, therapy sessions, and support planning.

  • They will also contribute to team meetings, participate in service development, and engage in research and evaluation activities to enhance practice.

  • A strong focus on continuing professional development is encouraged, with opportunities to access training, supervision, and mentorship.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in psychology, such as Clinical or Counselling Psychology, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar capacity.

In addition, they should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service-users, and their families.

  • Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland or equivalent from another jurisdiction.

  • Minimum 5 years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology.
