About the Job

This is a full-time role with a 5-day workweek, involving on-site work and remote work. After a probationary period, hybrid working can be arranged.

The successful candidate will support our client's project communications and infrastructure delivery teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project communications plans to achieve client objectives.
  • Liaise with technical colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams, preparing internal reports and presenting to internal meetings.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including contractors, residents' associations, interest groups, and elected representatives.
  • Write project briefing sheets, press releases, website articles, social media content, etc.
  • Develop messages to make technical information accessible and relevant to the general public, businesses, and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and deliver public information/open days/evenings and online events.
  • Organise, attend, present, and take minutes at stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage event logistics for official openings of water and wastewater projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact databases, adhering to data protection regulations.
Your Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' postgraduate experience in project communications, preferably in infrastructure or climate action projects.
  • Strong communication skills, report writing skills, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing successful communications strategies, including campaign development, event management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent analytical skills to support communications strategy development.
  • Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while focusing on team goals.
  • Deliver projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrate account management experience, including client relationship management and reporting.
