We are recruiting for a Disability Support Professional to join our team in Co. Tipperary.
You will work in a Residential and Day Service setting, where residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life.
About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
Your Responsibilities- Education: Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
- Certification: CORU registration or proof application is in progress.
- Experience: Have 1 year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Policies and Developments: An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
- Problem-Solving: An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
- Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- IT Skills: Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Share Point, One Drive and Teams.
- Transportation: A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
You should also be able to demonstrate your knowledge of current policies and developments in Social Care within disability services.
