Maintenance Manager Job Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, providing accurate advice on inspections, health and safety, buildings, mechanical and electrical plant, fire precautions, hygiene, water quality, and liability.
  • Service Contract Management: Manage service contracts for mechanical and electrical services, fire protection, lifts, building repairs, energy supplies, and grounds maintenance.
  • Operational Project Management: Design, procure, and deliver operational projects in a timely manner, within set parameters, with maximum return on investment.
  • Emergency Procedures: Act as Fire Marshall, be familiar with emergency procedures and alarms, identify and supervise planned preventative maintenance.
  • Maintenance Request Prioritization: Prioritize maintenance requests from various departments, plan maintenance and refurbishment works to maximize room occupancy.
Main Skills and Qualifications:
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with all departments, responding promptly and effectively to problems and building service breakdowns.
  • Hands-on Skills: Provide competent hands-on skills to ensure all systems are maintained in good working order, correct defects promptly and properly.
  • Tendering and Contracting: Compile accurate service specifications, invite tenders, report on contractor competency, award contracts according to established guidelines.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and audit contractors' performance, certify the quality of their work, approve invoices, recommend payment.
