Seeking a forward-thinking Commercial Controller to drive strategic commercial decisions and financial control across our On Trade and Marketing channels.

Job Purpose:

This key member of the Finance team will partner with Commercial Directors and function heads to shape the company's strategy, improve profitability, and drive business growth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Senior members of Commerce functions to drive strategy and improve profitability.
  • Financial Planning: Assist in meeting Commerce financial control and information needs, including planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Team Development: Develop and motivate finance team members to deliver proactively with the business.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong working relationships between Finance and other departments based on a Business Partnership model.
  • Performance Management: Manage the Annual Plan and Strategic Plan processes, prepare monthly business performance review reports, and implement financial tools to support manager capability building.
Leadership Skills:
  • Strong Voice: Represent Finance as an active member of the Commercial Leadership Team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of commercial controllers and analysts with a customer-focused strategy.
  • Customer Focus: Understand customer needs and pain points, shaping the mindset of the team to deliver value to the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Connect with stakeholders to anticipate changes in the marketplace and ensure the business is one step ahead.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in FMCG/commercial at senior finance level, including Revenue Management.
  • Experience dealing with senior management up to Director level.
  • Expert skills in BI, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling.
  • Advanced Influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working in matrix environment with senior leaders.
  • Bachelor of Business or equivalent degree, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
