Job Title: Legal Executive

This role is an excellent opportunity to join our Legal Team as a Legal Executive. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for working on debt recovery proceedings in both secured and unsecured cases.


The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a calm and professional manner.


The ideal candidate will have previous experience in debt recovery and/or repossessions, although this is not essential. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has problem-solving skills and can manage a high-volume workload efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting District Circuit and High Court proceedings;
  • Service of Proceedings;
  • Drafting Statutory Declarations and Affidavits of Service;
  • Instructing summons servers and tracing agents;
  • Drafting motions;
  • Taking instructions from clients;
  • Assisting solicitors in instructing local town agents;
  • Briefing counsel;
  • Preparation of briefs;
  • Dealing with incoming correspondence from agents, solicitors, and defendants;
  • Liaising with clients over court outcome and next steps;
  • Drafting letters;
  • Contributing to departmental monthly targets;
  • Liaising with court services;
  • Dealing with incoming telephone calls from agents, solicitors and defendants;

  • Excellent communicator;
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a strong Team player;
  • Strong communication skills and a good phone manner.
