Key Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a senior legal/regulatory advisor, providing expert legal and regulatory advice to the Leadership Squad. They will oversee critical legal activities across all functions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and mitigating legal risks.

  • Develop strategies related to Legal and Regulatory Compliance, advising on key strategic legal and regulatory risks impacting the wider business.
  • Oversee commercial negotiations and contracts, IP, litigation, strategic alliances and partnerships, network supply agreements and outsourcing contracts; ensure timely risk mitigation.
  • Implement Three Ireland's compliance strategy to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement Three Ireland's regulatory strategy, aligning with business objectives and engaging proactively with policymakers and statutory stakeholders.
  • Lead the management of regulatory risks related to policy initiatives by ComReg, Data Protection Commission and Coimisiún na Meán.
Candidate Requirements, Knowledge and Experience

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a cross-functional leadership team, supporting broad business decision making. They will have expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.

  • Experience as a senior legal/regulatory advisor for a company of similar size with consumer and business product offerings.
  • Significant experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, assessing legal and commercial implications of expanding into new markets.
  • Familiarity with best practices in corporate governance, including board responsibilities, ethics, and compliance.
