Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing maintenance and technical support to the manufacturing line(s) / shift(s) to which they are assigned.

This role involves the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of Additive process & equipment, in compliance with regulation & standards. You will also support investigation and resolution of basic level technical issues of business systems and applications at operational interfaces.

• You will work within the manufacturing team, under general direction and minimal supervision, and have responsibility for:

• Active participation in cross-functional line support teams to achieve area goals and metrics.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on equipment, including servicing of mechanical, electrical, and non-technical equipment. Identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues to maximize equipment uptime.

• Carry out fault finding and repairs to unplanned down equipment. Contact and coordinate service engineers where external assistance is required. Assist subcontractors as needed.

• Maintain and maximize use of CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system and ensure all works are completed and closed within the agreed timeframe.

• Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment.

• Maintain accurate records in line with GMP requirements. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, GMP & EHS adherence, and ensure compliance with the 6S (Sorting, Simplify, Sweep, Standardise, Sustain, Safety) during maintenance work.

• Provide level 1 support for business systems issue resolution. Liaise with the IS service desk / Applications Support Team / supervisor and respond to queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance.

• Contribute to the development of hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting guidelines. Liaise with production department engineers and other support personnel and groups to identify and solve problems.

• Participate in daily improvement processes and update/inform appropriately regarding equipment/technical issues.

• Support cost reduction initiatives across the site by providing ideas and implementing them. This includes Energy Saving Opportunities (ESOs).

• Ensure completion of training within the agreed timeframe.

• Report any accidents, incidents, or out-of-place findings. Maintain the workshop and maintenance stores areas in a tidy condition at all times.

• Take on ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary by your supervisor or representative.

• A Certificate/Diploma or Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation/Manufacturing is required.

• At least 2 years' experience working in a regulated environment and/or experience in maintenance or engineering is required.

• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, Automation is highly advantageous.

• Formal training/certification in the above areas is also beneficial.

• Ability to interpret specification and schematic drawings, understand equipment manuals, and work from these documents.

• Strong numerical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

• Capacity to source materials and generate quotations as required.

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Fluency in English.

• Familiarity with EH&S standards and practices.
