Immerse yourself in a fast-paced environment with our Production Support team, providing high-level support to an International Banking client.

You will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team that works together to deliver excellent service and support. Your role as an Application Support Engineer will involve troubleshooting incidents, proactive and reactive, and managing stakeholders for supported applications.

  • Manage stakeholders for supported applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Incidents & Service Requests.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis of Problem Tickets.
  • Manage incident queues & incident intake channels.
  • Take ownership of incidents & communication with customers as required.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to reactive or proactive incidents.
  • Write re-usable Knowledge Articles for Incident and Service Requests handled.
  • Detail accurate information in case documentation.
  • Coordinate internally with other support groups in a timely fashion.

The ideal candidate should have good experience in a production support/application support role, with hands-on experience of SQL and Unix, Shell Scripting.

Additionally, the candidate should possess a good understanding and exposure to Monitoring tools (Geneos/Grafana/Splunk) and Scheduling tools (i.e Control M/Cronjobs).

A strong knowledge of ITIL based Production Support (i.e Incident, Change Management etc) is also required.

Good communication and coordination skills are necessary to interact with multiple Stakeholders.

This is a permanent role based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal with hybrid working arrangements.

The candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland/EU.
