Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clerk of Works - Structural to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out all construction assurance activities for our projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing construction management/supervision activities across the project lifecycle, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with our NEC4 ECC Project Supervisor and Design and Technical Services Lead to ensure that works carried out by our design and build contractors are done so efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with established standards and specifications.

As a senior member of our team, you will also be responsible for leading the Engineering Assurance sub-functional area and developing detailed financial and resource planning for our projects. You will oversee the day-to-day management of client partner staff deployed within this area and ensure they are carrying out their tasks efficiently and effectively.

Your role will involve acting as a point of contact between site level and core level, as well as other relevant stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coordinating all relevant reporting to the PMO and any additional reporting required in line with defined governance arrangements.

You will assume responsibility for the performance of client partner personnel deployed within the sub-functional area and embed a focus on continuous improvement and best practice throughout the delivery of our projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in construction management/supervision, preferably in high-value road and/or infrastructure projects or projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Experience in the supervision of construction of bridge and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in delivering engineering solutions and results in dynamic urban environments.
  • Familiarity with Irish Building Regulations and Planning Process.
  • CDM and Health and Safety expertise and application in the workplace.
  • Awareness of ecological and environmental aspects related to construction.
