Job Title: Health and Safety Professional

Role Overview

West Cork Distillers is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental health and safety across our sites.

  • Develop and implement effective EHS policies and strategies to safeguard employees, the environment, and ensure ongoing legal compliance.
  • Drive site-wide adherence to established EHS practices and procedures, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant EHS regulations, including COMAH/Serveso Regulations, and collaborate with regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, produce comprehensive risk assessments, and develop corrective actions to prevent incidents.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents promptly, identifying root causes and implementing timely corrective measures.
  • Ensure employee training needs are identified and met through targeted training programs, maintaining accurate records and monitoring training status.
  • Stay current with emerging legislation and HSE developments impacting West Cork Distillers' industry, applying this knowledge to inform strategic decisions.
  • Regularly review and update the company's safety statement to reflect evolving priorities and best practices.
