Procurement Strategist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee strategic procurement projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Effective management of eTenders throughout the procurement process.
  • Advising on market analysis and conducting stakeholder consultations.
  • Coordinating tender competitions, including receipt and response to clarifications.
  • Serving as a procurement advisor on project steering committees.
  • Liaising with internal and external legal experts on tender and contract documentation.
  • Issuing instructions to project team members and evaluators.
  • Providing briefing sessions for evaluators prior to evaluation meetings.
  • Chairing dialogue meetings with potential suppliers.
  • Overseeing contract execution with successful bidders.
Additional Tasks
  • Liaising with staff to draft applicable procurement documents.
  • Supporting sustainable practices and green initiatives.
  • Guiding staff on suitable procurement methods, referencing thresholds, legislation, and timelines.
  • Publishing tender advertisements online and in industry publications.
  • Ensuring smooth transitions for services transferred from one supplier to another.
  • Negotiating contract changes with relevant suppliers.
  • Publicizing contract award notices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with public sector regulations and infrastructure guidelines.
  • Experience working with electronic tendering systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently, collaboratively, and lead teams.
