Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.

This senior position involves managing the commercial aspects of mechanical, electrical, and public health installations across various project stages.

Main Responsibilities
  • Cost Planning: Prepare accurate cost plans, feasibility studies, and detailed estimates for MEP services.
  • Procurement Strategies: Advise on procurement strategies, prepare tender documentation, and evaluate bids from M&E contractors.
  • Contract Administration: Administer M&E contracts, including the valuation of variations, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Cost Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor and control project costs, track expenditure, and provide comprehensive cost reports and forecasts to clients.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess commercial risks related to MEP installations and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Value Optimization: Proactively identify value engineering opportunities to optimize cost without compromising quality or performance.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and contractors, acting as a trusted commercial advisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience (typically 7+ years) as an MEP Quantity Surveyor within a construction consultancy or a large M&E contractor in Ireland.
  • Technical Knowledge: A deep, technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems and their associated costs.
  • Commercial Acumen: Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Contractual Expertise: Solid knowledge of standard forms of contract relevant to building services in the Irish market.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Educational Background: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., SCSI, RICS) is highly desirable.
