**Financial Accountant Opportunity**

Our client, a reputable Engineering company based in Cork, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

The ideal candidate will work directly with an established Finance Manager as part of the Finance team. Key responsibilities include preparing and forecasting monthly Group P&L statements and managing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.

This Financial Accountant will also act as a strategic business partner to Commercial, Operations, and Project teams to drive performance and support decision-making. Additionally, they will oversee statutory audits and corporate tax filings, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.

This individual will be responsible for managing local tax compliance and planning, optimizing tax strategies and minimizing fiscal exposure. They will also identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in financial operations.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and enhancement of financial models to support better performance tracking and metric analysis. Requirements for this position include being a Qualified Accountant with experience in financial reporting systems and processes.

A strong analytical ability with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent presentation skills are required. The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Additional requirements include having at least 2 years PQE in a similar environment and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
