Job Title: Caregiver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to provide person-centred care to individuals in their homes, supporting those with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, and others with chronic illnesses or addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes, focusing on dignity, respect, and empowerment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of each client.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Possession of QQI Level 5 Full Healthcare Award including modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, demonstrating expertise in providing high-quality care.
  • At least one year's paid experience in a similar caring role, showcasing ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Satisfactory Garda Vetting, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
  • Full, clean driver licence and use of your own car, facilitating easy travel to client locations.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Calm, polite, and professional demeanour with high confidentiality, upholding the trust placed in caregivers.
  • A kind and caring nature with a commitment to providing quality person-centred care, prioritising client well-being above all else.

  • Mileage/Travel Time: 30c per kilometre + fortnightly travel payment, reflecting the importance of reliable transportation.
