Job Title: Caregiver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to provide person-centred care to individuals in their homes, supporting those with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, and others with chronic illnesses or addiction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes, focusing on dignity, respect, and empowerment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of each client.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
- Possession of QQI Level 5 Full Healthcare Award including modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, demonstrating expertise in providing high-quality care.
- At least one year's paid experience in a similar caring role, showcasing ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Satisfactory Garda Vetting, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
- Full, clean driver licence and use of your own car, facilitating easy travel to client locations.
- Excellent communication and people skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Calm, polite, and professional demeanour with high confidentiality, upholding the trust placed in caregivers.
- A kind and caring nature with a commitment to providing quality person-centred care, prioritising client well-being above all else.

- An hourly rate of €14.70, competitive and fair for the level of expertise and dedication required.
- Premium rates for Sundays and Bank Holidays, recognising the value of caregivers' time and effort.
- Mileage/Travel Time: 30c per kilometre + fortnightly travel payment, reflecting the importance of reliable transportation.
- Annual Leave Entitlement: 8% of hours worked subject to a maximum of four working weeks per annum, allowing caregivers to recharge and refresh.
