The role involves providing high-quality, accessible, and authoritative information on human rights and equality law in Ireland to the public, particularly vulnerable and marginalized communities.
The Human Rights and Equality Public Information Manager will lead the development of IHREC's public information service, known as Your Rights. The service provides information to members of the public on rights under equality and human rights law in Ireland. It is not a legal advice service.
This includes ensuring that the role and purpose of the information service are clearly positioned within the IHREC brand and complement and support the work of other teams within IHREC.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the provision of high-quality, accessible, and authoritative information on human rights and equality law in Ireland to the public.
- Deliver information to everyone, particularly effective delivery to marginalized and vulnerable communities, including through partnerships with key organizations.
- Provide visibility by offering information to the public in ways they can easily access, including new technologies and social media pathways.
- Develop an efficient and effective information service that meets real needs and adds value.
- Ensure the role and purpose of the information service are clearly positioned within the IHREC brand.
Duties:
