Job Overview
As a Psychologist with our organization, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality psychological assessments and formulations for children referred through our network. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload with appropriate clinical autonomy while working closely within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). Your key duties will include conducting Assessments of Need (AON) and autism assessments, contributing to diagnostic formulations, and actively participating in MDT meetings to present your clinical findings and evidence-based recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Assessments of Need (AON) and autism assessments for children referred through our network.
- Develop and implement individualized assessment plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the child's psychological and social needs.
- Communicate effectively with families and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong educational background in Psychology, with a university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject. Additionally, you must hold an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology. Or An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health. We also require a letter of validation demonstrating expertise in working with children with disabilities, along with a strong understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration and family-centred practice. Prior experience conducting Assessment of Need (AON) evaluations is highly desirable.
