Senior Design Manager

As a senior design manager, you will lead the design and coordination of water infrastructure projects ensuring all technical designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards and project timelines.

  • Manage the design process for water infrastructure projects including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs and treatment facilities.
  • Coordinate internal and external design teams ensuring compliance with project specifications, Irish Water standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical designs drawings and documentation ensuring accuracy and constructability.
  • Liaise with project managers site teams and subcontractors to integrate design and construction activities.
  • Conduct design risk assessments ensuring all health safety and environmental considerations are met.
  • Manage project design schedules budgets and deliverables to ensure on-time project delivery.

You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. You should have a degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or a related field and 5+ years experience in water infrastructure design and project management.

Key skills include:

  • Strong knowledge of design software and tools.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering projects in line with Irish Water or similar utility standards.
