Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Accident Investigator (Seafarer) to join our team.

The Marine Accident Investigation Unit (MAIU) is responsible for investigating marine accidents in Irish waters and other vessels worldwide. As a Marine Accident Investigator, you will be part of a team that ensures the highest level of safety at sea and on inland waterways.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Carrying out thorough investigations into marine accidents
  • Identifying causes of accidents and making recommendations for prevention
  • Liaising with stakeholders and providing assistance as needed

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in the marine industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also possess:

  • A high standard of technical report writing
  • A good general knowledge of the marine industry
  • Strong critical thinking skills
