Research Scientist

This is a challenging Staff Grade Medical Scientist role requiring the development and implementation of analytical methods for quality assurance in a Microbiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining laboratory procedures and policies to ensure high-quality analytical results
  • Ensuring the appropriate use and storage of consumables and reagent stock supplies associated with the section
  • Participating in laboratory meetings to discuss performance, service development, and organisational changes
  • Maintaining and improving analytical quality through Quality Assurance and Audits

Required Candidate:

  • Registration on the Medical Scientists Register maintained by CORU or eligible for registration
  • Permission to work in Ireland
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
