Helium Arts is a national children's arts and health charity that develops the creativity of children living with long-term conditions to support their wellbeing, including social connections, self-esteem, and sense of agency.

We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Services Manager to deliver an efficient and effective volunteer support network. This role will support our organisation in its next phase of scale and growth, enabling us to support more children and young people living with lifelong physical health conditions to participate in creative activities and workshops.

The successful candidate will form part of our management structure and be responsible for managing competing priorities within their workload. They will have a robust knowledge of volunteering in Ireland and excellent managerial, leadership, and problem-solving skills. They will also be able to strongly advocate for the children we support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at a strategic point in our development, where you will be making a huge and varied contribution to our work. You will support the charity through a period of gradual scaling, growing our volunteer programme across five hubs across the country.

As a key member of our team, you will be flexible, capable, and committed to creating a fun, encouraging, supportive, and inclusive environment for our volunteers and the children we work with. Our team includes those with disabilities, lifelong physical health conditions, and those from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

You will be involved in shortlisting candidates and interviewing them on Zoom, with some candidates being invited to a second round interview in person. You will also be responsible for requesting full job descriptions and application processes by emailing HR with VOLUNTEER SERVICES MANAGER in the subject line.

We are looking for someone who can manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain accurate records. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to make decisions quickly. You will also be able to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to both internal and external stakeholders.
