Commercial Account Executive Job Overview

The Commercial Account Executive plays a vital role in our organization, responsible for managing and servicing a commercial portfolio of clients.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to existing clients and maintain strong relationships throughout the renewal cycle to ensure account retention.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of customer needs and identify opportunities to enhance their risk management strategies.
  • Develop and present customized solutions to customers, negotiating premiums on their behalf.
  • Collect and submit necessary information required by underwriters and follow up to ensure successful placement of the risk.
  • Input all information accurately onto the relevant platform and maintain clear and concise file notes.
  • Monitor and review business performance metrics to ensure timely collection of monies due on the account.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff members as required.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to attend customer meetings on prospects and provide subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Lead and participate in business initiatives as they arise.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity, adapting accordingly.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and ethics.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6-10 years' experience in commercial broking or insurance.
  • Detailed knowledge of commercial insurance product ranges across various markets, including:
  • Commercial Property
  • Employer's Liability & Public Liability
  • Professional Indemnity
  • Commercial Fleet
  • Strong understanding of customer businesses and industry sectors.
  • Proven track record in customer account management and retention.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and legal environments.
