Job Title: Patient Care Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill this role, providing high-quality care and assistance to clients in a community-based setting. This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible working hours, allowing for a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care, performing tasks such as personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving & transferring, and supervising medication administration.
  • Regularly report to your supervisor on any significant changes in a client's physical, behavioral, or social condition.
  • Undertake a range of Personal and Practical Care Duties with professionalism and empathy, prioritizing the client's needs.
  • Collaborate effectively within a caregiving team, offering general support and assistance as needed.
  • Manage time efficiently and ensure punctuality is respected.

Qualifications/Attainments:

  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 Award or equivalent qualification in the Care Skills and Care of the Older Person modules.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.

Requirements:

  • A full Irish driving license and access to own car for work purposes.
  • Knowledge of Irish homecare practices and relevant QQI training.
