Thermal Development Manager

Are you a seasoned project leader with extensive experience in thermal development?

Job Description:

The Thermal Development Manager will lead a team to ensure the successful development of key thermal projects. This role will focus on securing routes to market and driving projects to financial close.

The manager will oversee the development strategy, contract negotiation, joint venture activities, and governance requirements. They will also manage relationships, ensure timely execution of contracts, and monitor performance across all dimensions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the commercial development of thermal projects
  • Monitor and control project development performance
  • Oversee contractual negotiations and ensure optimum outcomes
  • Manage resource allocation and identify variances
  • Liaise with internal teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A third-level degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in energy or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record managing large-scale projects
  • Strong technical understanding of electricity transmission grid planning and operation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships
