Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead the Adventure Department, ensuring safe, successful, and profitable operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

The role requires a unique blend of leadership skills, outdoor expertise, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop systems and strategies to ensure effective running of the Adventure Department.
  • Talent Management: Manage recruitment, training, performance, and development of the Adventure team.
  • Safety and Compliance: Oversee and deliver training standards while maintaining qualifications in specialist activity areas, ensure all safety regulations, risk assessments, equipment checks, and incident records are maintained.
  • Program Development: Plan and oversee outdoor activity programmes for guests.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior management regarding compliance, insurance, and cross-department collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Certifications and Experience: Qualifications and experience in a variety of outdoor activities, with at least two relevant instructorships (e.g. RCI, CWI, ERCA).
  • First Aid Certification: Up-to-date First Aid certification.
  • Management Experience: Previous management experience in a similar adventure/outdoor role.
  • Degree or Diploma: Desirable: Third-level qualification in business management, outdoor education, leadership, recreation, or sports-related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Hospitality or adventure industry experience.
