Adventure Management Opportunities

A dynamic and enthusiastic leader is required to drive the Adventure Department forward, ensuring safe, successful, and profitable operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop operational strategies to ensure effective management of the Adventure Department.
  • Manage recruitment, training, performance, and development of the Adventure team.
  • Oversee and deliver high-quality training standards while maintaining qualifications in specialist activity areas.
  • Plan and oversee outdoor activity programmes for guests.
  • Ensure all safety regulations, risk assessments, equipment checks, and incident records are maintained.
  • Monitor weather and environmental conditions to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Work closely with senior management regarding compliance, insurance, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Build relationships with key industry stakeholders such as Failte Ireland and ATTA.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications and experience in a variety of outdoor activities, with at least two relevant instructorships (e.g. RCI, CWI, ERCA).

Up-to-date First Aid certification.

Previous management experience in a similar adventure/outdoor role.

Desirable: Third-level qualification in business management, outdoor education, leadership, recreation, or sports-related discipline.

Hospitality or adventure industry experience.

Skills: Strong leadership and motivational abilities.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve labour cost KPIs.

Project management, planning, and organisational skills.

Decision-making and problem-solving ability under pressure.

Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to business needs.
