Job Title: Adventurer in Charge
">About the Role:
">We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Adventure Department.
">The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new systems and strategies to ensure the safe, successful and profitable operation of the department.
">They will also oversee the management, recruitment and monitoring of the adventure team, as well as manage and oversee training, content, delivery standards and team development.
">Additionally, they will provide instruction in specialist areas relevant to the activities offered, keep their qualifications and skills up to date, and support adventure opportunities or projects affiliated with the company.
">Responsibilities include planning programmes of outdoor activities for guests, ensuring team members adhere to safety regulations, maintaining equipment and facilities, and providing strategic direction to management.
">Assessment and mitigation of risks will be an essential part of this role, as well as dealing with financial management, projections, costing, invoicing, and records management.
">A strong network of industry experts and organizations is also expected to be maintained.
">Requirements:
">Qualifications and experience in various outdoor activities, including instructorships such as RCI, CWI or ERCA, are required. A current First Aid qualification is also necessary.
">Previous management experience in a similar business or industry is highly desirable, as is a 3rd level qualification in a related subject.
">Key skills include excellent leadership and management abilities, teamworking and interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, project management skills, decision-making skills, and a proven track record in achieving labour cost KPIs.
">Flexibility and adaptability, as well as an imaginative and innovative approach to work, are also essential.

">This is a full-time position available on a rostered basis, which includes weekends and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality and/or adventure industry and possess excellent inter-personal skills.
