Operational Support Specialist

You will play a vital role in our team by contributing to operational support for the organization and resolving application issues.

As an Operational Support Specialist, you will work with end-users to answer questions and help resolve first-level issues on application support matters. You will also partner with our Global Technology Services colleagues to resolve application issues tied to functionality and/or interfaces.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and resolving application fallout errors
  • Driving resolutions to gaps in application functionality
  • Testing functionality on fixes, enhancements or new releases prior to end-user acceptance
  • Creating documentation related to upcoming functionality releases
  • Creating and delivering training to end users

For this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Business Information Systems, Technology or a related discipline
  • Related co-op or internship experience, with proven project and work experience
  • Exposure, knowledge or proficiency in SAP application suites (S4 HANA, Ariba, IBP) or similar Enterprise Software systems
  • Working knowledge or proficiency in SQL
  • Experience in troubleshooting and analyzing issues
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience using Google G-Suite Applications and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience in system testing
  • Good team player, well organised and self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to multitask
