Warehouse Operative Role

We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating 24 hours with flexible shift patterns available for morning, afternoon or overnight.

  • Maintain the continuous flow of goods in and out of our regional distribution centre.
  • Instruct lorry drivers regarding lane usage and sort incoming stock.
  • Perform quality control on fresh products and count incoming stock for inventory management.
  • Record additional relevant data, such as best before date and pallet height.
  • Accurately record every pallet received for storage purposes.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with manual handling equipment, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
  • Goods In Operate 24 hours with flexible shift patterns available.
  • Maintain uninterrupted flow of goods in and out of our regional distribution centre.
  • Instruct lorry drivers regarding use of lanes and sorting incoming stock.
  • Quality control of fresh product and counting incoming stock for inventory control.
  • Recording all additional relevant data (e.g., best before date, pallet height).
  • Recording every pallet received for accurate storage.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Comfortable with manual handling equipment, such as an order picker forklift.
  • Flexible can-do attitude.
  • Preferably, experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Good team player.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reach truck experience is preferred but not necessary.
