Health and Safety Officer
Job Description:The health and safety officer will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements on construction sites. This position requires an in-depth understanding of risk management, hazard identification, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Deliver comprehensive training programs to promote a culture of health and safety awareness among workers.
- Implement proactive measures to mitigate workplace accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Reporting directly to the EHS Manager
- Maintaining and updating ISO Management Systems as required
- Leading by example and promoting behaviors that support a positive EHS culture
- Providing expert advice and support to operatives on site
Requirements for this position include:
- A Health and Safety Qualification (Cert, Diploma or Degree)
- On-site Safety Officer experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- PHECC First Aid Responder (FAR) desirable
- Full Driver's License
