Job Title: Mechanical Construction Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the full design and construction process, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist and lead in the management of site safety, working closely with the project team and safety team.
  • Play a key role in the management of site quality assurance (QA) in conjunction with the QA manager.
  • Aid in the management of project schedules, collaborating with the project team and project manager.
  • Manage and track all costs associated with the project, including labor, materials, plant, and equipment.
  • Support the oversight of day-to-day site operations.
  • Directly manage the project team, ensuring alignment across all disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Manage sub-contractor activities, monitoring progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Ensure regular meetings with sub-contractors and package owners.
  • Assist in the management of the in-progress snagging system, ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.
  • Coordinate direct labor hours and sub-contractor hours with the time administrator for tracking purposes.
  • Lead site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Support the close-out of all project items, including final account O&M manual, punch list, safety file, QA file, material and plant relocations, and project plan.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the full design and construction process.
  • A trade background or relevant third-level qualification.
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large projects.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience as a construction manager.
