Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Director to oversee our procurement processes and drive strategic partnerships with suppliers.

About the Role:

In this key position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of supplier contracts and negotiate favorable terms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records and price files.
  • Process stock orders efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stockouts.
  • Monitor shop stock levels, identify trends, and implement data-driven decisions to optimize inventory management.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms, driving cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop customer promotions and campaigns that leverage supplier relationships.
  • Travel to attend trade shows, meetings, and training sessions to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  • Analyze monthly reports on outstanding purchase orders and identify areas for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask in fast-paced environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with stakeholders.
