We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and implementing automation control systems across various industries.
About the Role:
- Design and develop automation projects within corporate guidelines.
- Develop bespoke machines and manufacturing systems using software development skills.
- Interact with customers on technical requirements and assess existing technologies and processes.
- Design and deliver automation solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Support operations with technical queries and work within a team to upskill junior engineers.
- Document project progress and manage change control.
- Work independently to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Take ownership of projects and demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude.
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years' industry experience, preferably in Rockwell Studio 5000, FT View, Ignition, Siemens TIA Portal/Step7, OSI PI Historian, VBA.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP is an advantage.
- Cisco Networking qualification and/or VMware or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of automation principles and procedures.
- Ambitious, confident, and professional individual with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
