Job Title: GIS Professional

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled GIS Contractor, working on a hybrid basis, to support a Dublin-based organisation. The contractor will be embedded as part of a team providing GIS services and will work directly with Esri Ireland resources and the client to understand their requirements.

The successful candidate would attend the client's offices up to 3 days per week in Dublin city centre. They will implement ArcGIS Online-based solutions to meet business unit requirements and ensure these solutions are implemented in line with the client's data governance processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of web services, maps, and apps in a web GIS environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of GIS principles, theories, and practices
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work independently
  • Exercise good judgment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant third-level qualification (Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, or similar) with a minimum of 2 years relevant post-qualification experience
  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS software is required
