
Temporary Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Temporary Legal Administrator to assist with administrative support, phone management, and communication with barristers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and managing phone calls from clients, barristers, and court contacts
- Scheduling and diary management
- Drafting and sending letters to clients about court proceedings
- Liaising with barristers via phone and email
- Short dictation tasks (approximately 20 seconds)
- Scanning and processing mail
- Performing other general administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Prior experience in administration or reception is essential; experience in a legal setting is advantageous
- A degree or interest in law, particularly criminal law, is desirable but not necessary
- Professionalism, confidence, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations with discretion, patience, and empathy
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and diaries efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative and correspondence tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Flexibility and adaptability, as the assignment duration may change at short notice
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a small team
