Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full evaluation and interpretation of project contract documentation, planning and examining supplier and sub-contractor enquiries, providing precise, competitive and cost-effective valuations in a timely manner, and preparation and distribution of contract documents to our supply chain.

This is a key role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

  • Evaluate and interpret project contract documentation
  • Plan and examine supplier and sub-contractor enquiries
  • Provide precise, competitive and cost-effective valuations in a timely manner
  • Distribute contract documents to our supply chain
  • Examine changes in our scope of work and complete pricing variations
  • Prepare and agree monthly progress claims
  • Maintain accurate records of claims prepared, certificates issued and of retentions involved
  • Manage commercial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts
  • Prepare and deliver monthly commercial project reports
  • Provide information and analysis of issues & risks as required by management
  • Forecast and manage project cash flow

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience working on electrical packages with contractors
  • Comprehensive understanding of work contracts
  • Able to negotiate with clients on a professional level
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Tenders
