Operational Excellence Project Manager

A highly experienced Operational Excellence Project Manager is required to join our client's team for an initial 12-month contract. This role will be based in Cork, Ireland and will involve working onsite at the company's Ringaskiddy site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding and sustaining continuous improvement processes and programs in line with company standards. This will involve working closely with other teams and departments to develop business process standards and shape site-wide change programs through lean and six sigma methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a third-level degree or qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and at least 5 years' experience within the pharmaceutical industry. They will also be certified to Black/Green belt level or have a relevant Lean or Six Sigma qualification.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing business process standards and supporting Business Unit Leadership Teams and functional departments
  • Shaping and leading site-wide change programs through lean and six sigma methodologies
  • Embedding and sustaining 'Managing Site Performance' business process standards on site
  • Leading TIPs and mentoring initiative leads on company methodology
  • Developing and cultivating a continuous improvement culture
  • Enhancing the involvement and engagement of employees in process improvements
  • Ensuring all continuous improvement projects are conducted to the highest of standards in a safe, quality-focused, and effective manner
