Job Summary:
The Global HR Lead will play a critical role in shaping the company's future by building and leading its HR function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.
About the Role:
This Senior-level position requires a highly experienced and skilled HR professional who can lead the development of the company's HR strategy, drive business outcomes, and create a best-in-class employee experience.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the design and delivery of HR programs and initiatives that drive business outcomes and enhance the employee experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
- Provide expert advice on HR matters, including talent management, succession planning, performance assessments, culture and engagement initiatives, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and policy development.
- Partner with senior managers across the business on performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards, and workforce planning.
- Own as well as coach and advise people managers on the full spectrum of employee relations issues, across multiple countries.
- Establish a trusted partnership with the business in your region.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Design new policies and deliver on business-critical HR-related projects globally.
- Present at Canonical events to articulate the company's HR practices.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Exceptional Academic Track Record: From both high school and university.
- HR Experience Leading Initiatives Across Regions Within a Technology Business: With a proven track record of driving business outcomes through effective HR leadership.
- People Management Experience: With a focus on developing and executing HR strategies that drive business results.
- Experience in Business Partnering with Senior Stakeholders: Building strong relationships and delivering business outcomes through collaborative partnerships.
- A Good Balance Between Leading and Executing: Hands-on involvement in daily HR routines, while also driving strategic initiatives.
- Experience in Working in a Remote-First Organization: Adapting to a flexible work environment and collaborating with distributed teams.
- Able to Leverage Data to Make Informed Decisions: Analyzing data trends and themes to inform HR decisions.
- Knowledge and Practical Implementation of HR Practices and Employment Law Across APAC: A deep understanding of regional employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in Handling and Overseeing Complex ER Matters Across Multiple Jurisdictions: Expertise in navigating complex employee relations issues.
- Fluent in Business English (Written and Spoken): Excellent communication skills in English.
- Self-Motivated, Organized, Accurate, Confident, Authentic, Results-Oriented, Open-Minded, Enthusiastic, and Energetic: Demonstrating a positive attitude and a passion for HR excellence.
- Willingness to Travel Up to 4 Times a Year for Internal Events: Flexibility to travel and collaborate with teams.
