Job Summary

About the Role
  • Establish partnerships with swimming pool operators to secure access for Swim Ireland initiatives and outreach programs.
  • Identify suitable open water swimming locations, collaborating with local authorities to ensure sites are safe, accessible, and welcoming.
  • Organize swimming instruction courses in conjunction with the Education department and local facilities.
  • Promote diversity within our swimming instructor community by engaging with underrepresented groups to encourage teaching swimming.
  • Recruit, train, and retain Community Coaches to deliver community programs across each county.
  • Identify suitable candidates to become Coach Developers/Swim Ireland Tutors within each county.
  • Collaborate with Swim Ireland's Activation & Participation department and Local Sports Partnerships to develop programs.
  • Deliver targeted programs in swimming to support female participation at various stages of life.
  • Develop and implement programs for hard-to-reach groups, aligning with Sport Ireland and Healthy Ireland objectives.
  • Seek feedback and evaluate programs regularly.
  • Engage and deliver on campaigns and key events, such as EWOS and HER Outdoors.

  • Effective interpersonal skills, with a willingness to meet new people and work with volunteers.
