Scientific Development Position

The ideal candidate will be involved in the creation and production of veterinary vaccines at a leading Centre of Excellence employing over 1000 people. This exciting role offers an opportunity to drive laboratory operations within a new state-of-the-art facility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive Laboratory Operations: Oversee daily laboratory activities, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with established protocols.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Review and/or lead trending and reporting of laboratory data to support batch release, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and release laboratory stock, ordering consumables as required to maintain optimal operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in functional meetings and cross-functional meetings, fostering open communication and collaboration among teams.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external audits, ensuring inspection readiness and maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in Biological Sciences or Engineering, preferably with background in microbiology.
  • Advanced degree qualification desirable.
  • Extensive experience in relevant industry field.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Required Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of biologics drug substance manufacturing and microbiological testing techniques.
  • Logical thinking and ability to be proactive under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills.
