Job Title: Disability Day Service Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in delivering person-centred services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. As the successful candidate, you will have the chance to be involved in all elements of service design from the ground up.

About the Role

The Disability Day Service Lead will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality services that promote social inclusion, active citizenship, and empowerment of individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a new day service model that prioritises person-centredness and community integration.
  • Develop programmes for module delivery in line with national standards and best practices.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including families, carers, and external agencies, to ensure understanding of programme objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Maintain programme plans with activities, completion dates, milestones, quality review processes, etc.
  • Co-ordinate interventions and supports to enable individuals to participate fully in community life.
  • Deliver services in line with policy and best practice, completing reports, KPIs, and other templates as requested.
  • Provide line management and supervisory support for assigned staff, delegating responsibilities and retaining overall responsibility and accountability for results.
Requirements
  • Degree in Health and Social Care or related field.
  • Experience working in day services and/or with people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Leadership and management experience.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to engage effectively with individuals, staff, families, and external agencies.

They will also have the ability to motivate and inspire others, being a positive influence on the team and contribute to creating a dynamic and supportive work environment.
