Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Accounts Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full payroll function, including processing payroll, submitting revenue returns, and maintaining all payroll records.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collate timesheets for processing and cross-check information received.
  • Process payroll, submit revenue returns, and discharge payments.
  • Maintain all payroll records.
  • Enter payroll journals to accounts systems.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll matters.
  • Interpret company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
Additional Accountabilities:
  • Process accounts payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly supplier payments.
  • Ensure all accounting deadlines are met and reports are complete and accurate.
  • Prepare client invoices, review aged debt reports, and chase overdue accounts.
  • Deal with debtor and creditor queries (internal and external).

Candidates should ideally have experience handling pension contributions and discharging information to pension authorities in Ireland and the UK.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience working in a similar role.
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) and previous experience in UK payroll desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and previous experience using Sage Payroll.
  • Enthusiastic and teamwork-focused individual with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • A structured and organized person.
