Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our operations team in Dublin.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a range of utility systems, including water treatment and wastewater systems, ammonia refrigeration plant, CO₂ and nitrogen generation systems, compressed air, cooling towers, steam, and electrical distribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance, identify and repair faults where practicable, and ensure plant performance meets reliability and SLA targets.
  • Apply safe systems of work, including isolations and permit-to-work systems, and use and maintain digital systems: SCADA, CAMMS/SAP, Know How, and email communication tools.

Fully qualified in Mechanical Fitting or Marine Engineering, with at least 5 years' industrial experience in a mechanical maintenance role. Skilled in fault finding and maintenance of gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics, familiar with LV electrical systems and plant instrumentation.

Able to work independently during night shifts, apply safe systems of work, read and act on plant performance data, and use digital tools and new technologies. Capable of fulfilling safety-related roles such as Safety Controller, Designated Person, Issuer, or Acceptor.

Requirements:
  • Fully qualified in Mechanical Fitting or Marine Engineering.
  • At least 5 years' industrial experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
  • Skill in fault finding and maintenance of gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with LV electrical systems and plant instrumentation.

This is a permanent, full-time role on a rotating 24/7 shift schedule. The successful candidate will operate and maintain a range of utility systems while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
