At The Court Yard Hotel, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Sales and Events Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing all sales and revenue generating opportunities, focusing on growing the hotel's wedding, corporate and events market share.

You will work closely with our marketing and revenue teams to achieve departmental budgets and develop new business opportunities. A secondary focus will be on growing the local leisure sector for food, beverage and other leisure-based offerings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow up calls on all sales leads, enquiries and pass on leads to other sales personnel/management where appropriate.
  • To schedule and carry out property site visits with current and prospective clients, as necessary.
  • To monitor service quality via receipt of client feedback and communicate to operations team.
  • To compile weekly/monthly sales reports and a weekly sales activity report for the Hotel Operations Director and Operations Manager.
  • To continuously monitor and report on competitor activity to maintain competitiveness and provide feedback information.
  • To plan and organize FAM Trips, site inspections and sales promotions, representing the hotel at consumer promotions, trade exhibitions, seminars and workshops.
  • To attend events held in the hotel and off-site when required.
  • To represent and maintain regular contact with local networking groups and trade bodies.
  • To work closely with the marketing team to ensure all local marketing opportunities are explored in line with the Sales and Marketing plan.
  • To plan and effectively execute 'Database Marketing' to target markets including mail shots and ezines in association with the marketing department and revenue manager.
