About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the development and implementation of new technologies, as well as program management of departmental deliverables.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to shape the function of our R&D department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage lifecycle management activities for our portfolio of products.
  • Lead the R&D Lifecycle Management team, responsible for team structure, development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and support R&D activities required to support product lifecycle management.
  • Utilize technical expertise to lead the team in developing and implementing cost improvement programs with external manufacturing partners.
  • Liaise with regulatory and marketing teams to develop approaches to gain approval of portfolio products in additional regions.
  • Support the R&D department with customer visitors and lead customer complaint technical investigations.

Requirements:

  • Honours degree in Engineering or Science with strong technical acumen.
  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) preferred.
  • Significant experience in an R&D or product sustaining role in the medical device industry.
  • Team leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in statistical techniques and ability to work within design control systems and processes.
