Credit Management Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced credit professional to manage our company's credit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for making informed credit decisions, leading a team of credit professionals, and ensuring the highest standards of credit and collections management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the credit team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Effectively handle customer queries and escalations, negotiating payment plans and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with debt collection agencies and legal counsel as required, ensuring that all actions are taken in accordance with our company's policies and procedures
  • Support colleagues as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of our business and preparing regular reports on key performance indicators
  • Represent our company at industry events and meetings, promoting our brand and building relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in credit management, preferably within the food services sector
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in people management, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in debt ledgers and negotiation skills, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Relevant qualifications an advantage, such as a degree in finance or accounting, with knowledge of SOX compliance also desirable
