Technical Business Analyst Role Overview

The role of Technical Business Analyst is pivotal in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical delivery.

In this capacity, you will support the design, documentation, and delivery of identity governance processes and integrations, working closely with developers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into actionable technical user stories that drive project progress.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams to refine, prioritise, and ready backlog items for development, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Assist with integrating IAM tools into enterprise systems and applications to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the design of processes, specifications, and documentation across identity governance, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Participate in testing and validation to ensure technical solutions meet business needs and expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement within a regulated, security-focused environment, driving excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong technical understanding of integrations, APIs, and directory services.
  • Familiarity with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, or similar).
  • Knowledge of identity lifecycle concepts: provisioning, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and access reviews.
  • Ability to write clear functional specifications and process flows.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex requirements for different audiences.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should have:

  • 3rd-level qualification in IT or related discipline.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst in Agile environments.
