
Food Safety Specialist

Job Title:
We are seeking a skilled Food Safety Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of food safety principles, regulations, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- To define and state rules and good practices for production internal use, based on guidelines defined by the central team and other external organizations.
- Ensure food products meet safety and quality standards, follow food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Conducting inspections/audits, implementing control measures, and ensuring adherence to hygiene practices.
- Maintaining structured records and documentation control.
- Assuring preparation & attendance to the internal and external audits (such as ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, FSMA, Ferrero Food Safety and Quality Industrial Audit, Ferrero Self-Assessment Audits etc).
- Cooperating with other departments in different audit activities (such as SMETA etc).
- Guaranteeing internal audits (planning, execution, monitoring and training of auditors).
- Performing cross audits in other Ferrero Plants (1-2/year).
- Monitoring Quality KPIs (such as consumer complaints, non-conformities, glass & hard plastic checks) and collaborating with relevant stakeholders on action plans.
- Coordinating and managing CAPA status updates and collaborating with relevant stakeholders on implementation / follow-up.
- Updating HACCP plans using risk analysis method, managing and coordinating the food safety team.
- Coordinating and managing Environmental Monitoring Plan and collaborating with relevant stakeholders on implementation.
- Managing traceability in the plant and coordinating required simulation for traceability.
- Coordinating and managing Patrol Walk.
- Conducting training in Food Safety, GMP in Production, GMP for Maintenance, PRPs etc.
- Establishing Rules based on Ferrero Group Guidelines and external standards, legislation etc.
- Drafting Manuals & Procedures and Managing Plant Quality Documentation System.
- Supervising external contractors including pest control, cleaning and calibration.
- Executing the purchasing process for food safety related activities.
- Coordinating and managing Food Safety related projects.
- Ensuring the presence of all needed roles, through substitution of absent collaborators.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of food safety principles, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
